Welcome to our new member, Raquel Campos e Matos of GEG.
In 2007 I started working as a civil engineer in GEG, an international engineering consultancy and design company located in Porto, Portugal, developing structural design of bridges and buildings. Soon, I developed a strong passion with project management, so I have started working on it, integrating the project management team at the same time that I deepen in learning. I did a Master in Business Administration (MBA) in 2012 and the PMP certification in 2017, among other studies.
What I do in this moment? I do project management of engineering design in construction projects. One of the projects I am currently working on is the engineering detailed design of the new International Airport in Rwanda. At GEG, I am also responsible for the development of some proposals and internal projects, with the aim to always do better!
I'm excited to be part of ICPMA. I am looking forward to know so interesting people, which are also passionate about what they do in the international construction project management. I am looking forward to keep learning and keep giving more and more of me, helping to build a better world, in a better way!

Welcome to our new member, Philip Sander from Austria. Philip is the Managing Director of Risk Consult who won a Distinction IQ Award this year for their work on the Lima Airport Development Programme. He also spoke on Risk Management at our London Conference. By integrating cost and schedule into one model, rather than separate as has historically been the case, greater control of complex projects can be achieved as time delays are often the cause of cost overruns. Philip’s team are also working on the Brenner Base Tunnel (Munich to Verona railway) and the Canarsie Tunnel in New York, and are assisting the Swiss Cooperative for the disposal of Radioactive Waste and the German Ministry of Transportation and Digital Infrastructure.
We welcome another new member - Michael Bashorun.

Although retired from full time work I like to keep up-to-date with new trends in PM. As a Project Director I was responsible for a wide variety of developments either as a Client or a consultant undertaking the Client’s role. This also included one off assignments in Australia, Thailand and Europe. My recent specialism is the hospitality sector.

As a member of ICPMA I feel part of the International Project Management Community. I can ask my ICPMA friends for advice to help face project challenges and I can take benefit from the international events to both learn and have a great time together, whilst discussing lessons learnt and preparing myself for the future.

ICPMA welcomes new member Philip Weisse.
Philip comments " I joined the ICPMA because I’m convinced that the interdisciplinary exchange of experience and the respective understanding across the entire life-cycle is an essential asset for the long-term success of projects.
Within my professional career at TAW WEISSE Int. I’m focusing on the implementation of appropriate conditions for the subsequent building operation at international landmark projects. In this role, I’m closing the gap between design and construction and the subsequent building operation, by considering the operational requirements in the early design phases.
I appreciate the exchange within the ICPMA Network through all kind of disciplines with colleagues around the world and I am already looking forward to the next annual conference in summer 2018."
